PURPOSE:To improve steering efficiency by supporting a rack-bar with a yoke which contacts with the central part of the rack-bar by friction, and with a roller which contacts with the ends of the rack-bar by rolling. CONSTITUTION:On the both sides of the opposite side surface of the rack teeth 14 of a rack-bar, the inclined surfaces 30 and 30' and the central circular arcked surface 31, which connects the inclined surfaces, are made. The inclined surfaces 30 and 30' consist of gains which are cut deeply in proportion to the length from the center to the ends of the rack-bar. In a yoke 20, inclined grooves 40 and 40' are made which correspond to the inclined surfaces 30 and 30'. A roller 21 is rotatably supported by a pin 50, and the pin is fixed to the yoke. In the roller 21, a circular arcked concave 60 is made corresponding to the circular arcked surface 31 of the rack-bar. |
