In a radio transceiving system of low bit-rate coded speech signals, to be installed on mobiles, the method allows the detection and correction of burst errors present in the demodulated coded signal, in the receiver.

This method allows error detection by distance measurements among the values of the decoded parameters in subsequent intervals and, in case of error, to substitute values obtained with linearinterpolation techniques for the erroneous parameters.

A device is also described for implementing such a method.
