PURPOSE:To increase the speed and sensitivity of an analysis by adsorbing catecholamine to alumina then bringing the same into reaction with dansyl chloride. CONSTITUTION:A sample contg. the catecholamine extracted from the human body is adsorbed to the alumina in a liquid adjusted to weak basicity and after the sample is washed, the catecholamine adsorpbed to the alumina is converted to a fluorescent deriv. The catecholamine converted to the fluorescent deriv. is obtd. as a residue when the catecholamine is desorbed from the alumina after washing and is concentrated by evaporation. The residue is dissolved again to the mobile phase of a high-speed liquid chromatography and part thereof is injected into the high-speed liquid chromatograph, by which the catecholamine is separated. The separated catecholamine is detected by a fluorescent detector. |
