PURPOSE:To exhibit a damping function and also exhibit an anti-roll function by providing a valve for generating damping force and a valve for opening and closing a passage in a passage of a base valve portion, and suitably operating the opening and closing valve. CONSTITUTION:A base valve portion 30 is provided with passages 45, 46 for connecting a lower chamber of a cylinder 10 to a reserver chamber C. A valve 45 for generating damping force and a spool 42 which is a valve for opening and closing the passages are disposed in the passages. A free piston 55 is brought into contact with the lower portion of the spool 42. The free piston 55 operates according to the pressure in a pressure supply and discharge path 56. When the pressure supply and discharge path 56 is in the state of high pressure, the spool 42 intercepts the above path to lock a hydraulic buffer. When the pressure supply and discharge path 56 is in the stage of low pressure, the above path is opened to generate pressure damping force by the valve 45 for generating damping force. |
