PURPOSE:To prevent leaking-out developing agent from being scattered, by providing a developing agent catching member in a developing agent collecting part which receives leaking-out developing agent and restricts the received developing agent. CONSTITUTION:A trough-like leaking-out developing agent receiver 32 is provided below a developing sleeve 24 on the developing agent leaking-out side of a device clearance (b) and a foaming member 21 is put in the receiver 32. The member 21 is made of open cell type vinyl chloride. Since a plasticiser is used in this vinyl chloride for softening the vinyl chloride, the surface of the vinyl chloride has plasticity. When a developing agent 27 leaks out from the clearance (b), the leaking-out developing agent drops onto the foaming member 21 in the receiver 32 and the developing agent deposited on the foaming member 21 permeates the foamed cell or clearance cell texture of the foaming member 21. The agent permeating the forming member 21 in this way is softened by the plasticiser and absorbed and captured by the foam and the foam holds the developing agent under a restricted condition. Therefore, scattering of leaking-out developing agent can be prevented effectively, even when the developing agent in a developing device leaks out from the clearance (b). |
