Method and device for producing a wall passage (penetration) in a tank, according to which, and for the manufacture of said tank, the starting point is a thin-walled preform 1 which is rotatably driven around its axis of revolution XX1 and around which preform a reinforcing filament 7, impregnated with a synthetic resin, is wound with touching turns and in that several layers (plies) of resin- impregnated filaments are crossed in order to form or to reinforce the wall of the tank, being characterised in that: The preform 1 is pierced; A mandrel 4 is placed at the periphery of the said preform and in line with the drilled hole 1b such that its axis of revolution is orthogonal to the wall of the preform 1; The preform 1 and the mandrel 4 are solidly connected by means 3/5/6 located inside the preform so as to insert the wall of the preform between the said means and the mandrel 4; The preform 1 is rotatably driven; The resin-impregnated filament 7 is wound around the said mandrel 4 until an excess thickness is obtained around the mandrel 4 and a protuberance 8 is produced; The resin is left to polymerise; The mandrel 4 is withdrawn from the said protuberance 8 which thus includes the imprint 8c of the mandrel. <IMAGE>
