PURPOSE:To smoothly continue the ocntrol of an internal combustion engine, by providing a means for detecting the quantity of electric power for heating the oxygen concentration sensor of the engine, and an open control setting means for stopping feedback control in a prescribed condition. CONSTITUTION:In a step 102, 100% of a basic electric power quantity A for a heater to heat an oxygen concentration sensor is calculated. In a step 103, an aimed electric power quantity B is determined. After it is found out in a step 105 that a heating electric power quantity C is 100% or more, a step 106 is taken. When the heating electric power quantity C has been 100% or more for a prescribed time, a step 107 is taken to set an open flag at '1'. The feed back control of an internal combustion engine is thus stopped so that the open control thereof is set. For that reason, the control of the air-fuel ratio can be smoothly performed. |
