PURPOSE:To provide the title sheet free of problem of sticking and generating little noise at the time of printing, wherein a thermal transfer layer is provided on one side of a base sheet formed of an aromatic polyamide resin. CONSTITUTION:The thermal transfer sheet comprises a heat-resistant slip layer preferably consisting of a polyhydric alcohol polymer compound, a polyvalent isocyanate compound and a p[hosphoric acid ester compound on one side of a base sheet and a thermal transfer layer, preferably, a heat-sublimable transfer layer consisting of a thermally transferrable dye and a binder resin or a heat- fusible transfer layer consisting of a dye or a pigment and a wax on the other side of the base sheet, wherein the base sheet is formed of an aromatic polyamide resin, preferably, poly-m-phenylene isophthalamide. |
