PURPOSE:To obtain a titled steel strip, formed to be easily manufactured into a secondary product, by forming its cross-sectional profile into plural portions different from each other in thickness in the width direction of steel strip, to obtain a stock suitable for a secondary product having a cross section different in thickness. CONSTITUTION:For instance, a steel strip different in thickness in its width direction is obtained by using a roll, having two grooves (e), (f) formed by grinding, for the upper roll of a final stand of hot finishing mill and using an ordinary flat roll for the lower roll thereof. When both sides of said strip are bent, a channel having a web and flanges, different from each other in thickness, can be obtained. By such constitution, said hot rolled steel strip is suitably used for a stock to be manufactured into a secondary product whose cross section is partially different in thickness. |
