PURPOSE:To attain the modification of a user's program and to improve convenience by using newly an invalid command and dividing data shifting work into scans plural number of times so as to conduct the work. CONSTITUTION:The titled device has a programmable controller (PC)11 and display device 12 having a keyboard 12a. The PC11 stores user's program data inputted through the keyboard 12a in a user's program memory 14 through a communications buffer 13 and external information from an input terminal 15 in an I/O data memory 16, and displays them on the display device 12. In order to modify the user's program, an invalid command as the use's program is provided for convenience' sake, and a submemory 20 is installed which stores an address counter, etc., in order to track processing steps for the modification. Simultaneously processing programs are built in an execution program memory 17. Thus, for modification (insertion), an invalid command is written in a clearance obtained by shifting one word at each scan, and re-written to an insertion command when the invalid command reaches an insertion address. |
