摘要 When new airports are constructed, the runways for the aircraft consume too much costly landscape. In order to remedy this problem, it is therefore proposed that aircraft wings be fitted with devices which compress the air flowing out to form mini-tornadoes so that supporting air columns would be produced. These devices should be funnel-shaped with an internally installed thread which forces the air (which flows in through a slot) to flow downwards through the deep grooves and thus to be compressed so that it could flow out from the lower outlet opening as a supporting air column, forced to do so by the rotation of the device. The outer sleeve should be streamlined, for example round. Flaps on the slot should deflect the air into the grooves while the lower opening, in contrast, should be of variable cross-section in order to change the cross-section of the air column flowing out. The device could consist of a plurality of rings and be integrated into the wings by means of a lowering/lifting device. Instead of wings, it would be possible to use only those take-off accelerators which are very large in cross-section but are flat, to select large take-off accelerators for the front and small ones for the rear.
