PURPOSE:To enable the detection of a punching load even in the punching of a test piece at a high speed, by providing a punching load detection mechanism near the tip of a punch. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus is composed of a punch 5 comprising the tip 5a and the body 5b, an internal hole 6, a strain gauge 7, a lead 8, a terminal 9 and the like. Then, even when the punch 5 is moved axially to punch a test piece with the tip 5a, a distortion is caused in the body 5b of the punch 5 and that in the shaded area A is detected with a gauge 7. With such an arrangement, the punching load of the test piece is detected and the detection signal is picked up from the lead 8 and the terminal 9. This eliminates the possibility that a substantial inertia may work on the gauge 7 and the area A even when the punch 5 is moved to punch the test piece at a high speed. |
