NEW MATERIAL:The amino alcohol derivative of formula I (R1 is 3-8C straight or branched chain alkyl; R2 and R3 are lower alkyl or R2 and R3 together with adjacent N atom and in some case further with O atom form a 5-7- membered ring which may contain O atom; R4 is H or lower alkyl; R5 is H or lower alkyl; X is H, halogen, lower alkyl, etc.; n is 2 or 3) and its salt. EXAMPLE:(1RS,2SR)-1-phenyl-2-(3-piperidinopropylamino)-pentan-1-ol. USE:It has glutamic acid blocking activity and stiffness-remitting activity, and is effective as a drug useful for the remedy of dizziness and shoulder discomfort caused by nervous diseases occuring frequently in senile, and also as agricultural chemicals. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be prepared by reacting the compound of formula II with the compound of formula III (Y is halogen). |
