PURPOSE:To perform color detection without any special correction by adjusting the quantity of detection light incident on each photodetecting element by arranging a slit or filter on the front surface of the photodetecting element, and determining outputs of color separating and photodetecting elements optionally. CONSTITUTION:This detecting device consists of a photodetection lens 1 which irradiates a color separating and photodetecting element group with the photodetection light, slits which limit the quantity of light incident on the color separating and photodetecting element group 3 or filters 2 which limit transmitted light, i.e. SR', SG', and SB', the color separating and photodetecting element group 3 consisting of three color separating and photodetecting elements CR', CG', and CB', and amplifiers 4 which amplify signals from the group 3, i.e. AR', AG', and AB'; and respective detection systems are R', G', and B'. If the sensitivity ratio of the respective photodetecting elements 3 is 3:2:1 when ideal light 10 is used, the quantities of light incident on the respective photodetecting elements through the slits or filters are set to 2:3:6 and then the output ratio of the respective photodetecting elements is 1:1:1. Therefore, when the output ratio of three detection systems R', G', and B' is set to 1:1:1, the amplification factors of the amplifiers are only set to AR':AG':AB'=1:1:1. |
