PURPOSE:To reduce the drive loss by using P-channel and N-channel FETs in the main circuit of an inverter device, thereby eliminating a diode for an external flywheel. CONSTITUTION:An inverter device uses P-channel FETs 6a, 6b in the upper stage of the FET bridge of a main circuit and N-channel FETs 7c, 7d in the lower stage, and connects a P-channel FET drive circuit and an N-channel FET drive circuit. Thus, the FETs are solely turned ON and OFF irrespective of the other FET by a PWM signal input comparators 13a-13d, and control power to a motor 2. Thus, a diode for the conventional external flywheel can be eliminated by utilizing diodes having good recovery characteristic in the FETs, 6, 7, and insulates the PWM signal system and the power source system. |
