PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a conveyor the size of a levitating device by providing electromagnetic guides at the right and left sides of a moving direction of the conveyor, and controlling a current flowed to a ground wire line in response to the horizontal displacement of the conveyor. CONSTITUTION:Electromagnetic guides 7, 7' are respectively composed of magnetic units 2, 2' having air gaps 3, 3' provided in a conveyor 1, and ground wires 4, 4' provided on the ground 6 side to cross magnetic fluxes 5, 5' at the air gaps 3, 3'. When the conveyor 1 is displaced horizontally from the prescribed traveling line, the displacing amount is detected by a displacement detector 8, and a current flows by a power amplifier 10 to the wires 4, 4'. Thus, electromagnetic forces f, f' act to recover the conveyor 1 with respect to the displacing direction, to recover to the prescribed traveling line. Thus, a power source is eliminated in the conveyor to reduce the weight of the conveyor and to reduce the size of a levitating device. |
