PURPOSE:To prevent shaking at movement of a carriage by providing an engagement member engaged with an end face of carriage movement direction when the carriage supporting an optical pickup reaches the moving limit. CONSTITUTION:The carriage 34 supporting the optical pickup means is fitted closely to a couple of guide shafts 30a and 30b and a half nut 42 is screwed to a screw shaft 37. A pin 111 as an engagement member engaging with an end face in the carriage moving direction when the carriage 34 reaches the moving limit is provided near the shaft 30a. Thus, when the carriage 34 approaches the moving limit and the movement is restricted, slight shaking is caused, but since the pin 111 is provided, production of shaking is prevented. |
