The invention relates to a protective housing for angled plugs of plastic-insulated medium-voltage cables. The object is to strengthen the protective housing for various purposes of angled plugs, at the same time to dispense with additional attachment devices between the housing and the apparatus connecting part and to improve the way in which the screening wire is passed out. The solution provides an annular groove (56, 66), which runs in the interior of the opening (57, 67) of the half shells (5, 6) and in which the attachment device, which is constructed as an annular flange (4), engages by means of a collar (43) and a tunnel (53, 63), which runs in the opening (51, 61) of the half shells (5, 6) and whose diameter is matched to the diameter of the harnessed screening wires (32), and a further opening (57, 67) for the connection of further plugs. <IMAGE>
