Hydraulic axle-compensation device constructed as a double-circuit system

A hydraulic axle-compensation device constructed as a double-circuit system is described, in which two cylinders, which operate in parallel and are combined to form one constructional unit, are connected in each case independently within a compensation group of any number of cylinders via collecting lines and can be connected to an oil sump via valves. Mutually corresponding cylinders are connected to one another by means of connecting lines and form oil circuits which are sealed in themselves and with respect to one another. Each double-circuit cylinder consists of two cylinders which are plugged one into the other and can be moved with respect to one another. The outer cylinder having an oil-filled chamber which can be supplied externally has the shape of a U-shaped casing pipe. The inner cylinder is plugged into the U-opening of the casing pipe, encloses a second oil-filled chamber, which can also be supplied externally, and can be slid in a pressure-tight fashion in the casing pipe. In the second chamber, a hollow piston can be moved axially in a pressure-tight fashion and, in addition, an oil feed line is axially inserted into this chamber, the length of which line corresponds essentially to the stroke of the hollow piston and against which line the extendible pipe slides in a pressure-tight fashion.
