PURPOSE:To prevent oxide films from being applied on a rod and an end plate as well as simplify a process of cutting by effecting processes of evacuation and brazing at the same time. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular groove 11 is provided in the middle of a rod A1, around whose groove 11 a brazing material 16 is wrapped in a state of the brazing material being fitted into said groove. An end plate A3 is stopped by the brazing material A16, and clearance is provided between the end plate A3 and the upper end of an insulating cylinder 5. A weight 10 is placed on the upper surface of the end plate A3. Throwing the captioned vessel into a vacuum exhaust device and heating it to temperature from 800-1,100 deg.C while evacuating it, a vacuum is formed in the vessel, while the end plate A3 is released from the stoppage thereof owing to melting of the brazing material A16. Accordingly, the vessel is lowered due to downward force of the weight 10 to be brought into contact with a brazing material B17, brazed onto the upper end of the insulating cylinder 5, and hence sealed by the end plate A3. |
