PURPOSE:To measure the static friction force of a tire with a rod surface test sample with good accuracy, by arranging a load detector to the arm body almost horizontally fixed to the rotary shaft of a tire and revolving the road surface test sample in such a state that predetermined load is applied to the tire. CONSTITUTION:A tire A is mounted to the tire mount part 181 of a rotary shaft 18 and predetermined load is applied to said tire A by a loadig apparatus A. In this state, the rod 201 of a cylinder apparatus 2 is extended to revolve a test sample mount stand 1. By the friction force between a road surface test sample 9 and the tire A, the rotary force corresponding thereto is exerted on the tire A and detected by a load detector 7 through the rotary shaft 18 and an arm body 5 fixed in an almost horizontal state. Furthermore, by detaching an arm body 14 and the arm body 15 and applying rotary driving to the sample mount stand 1 by a motor 20, an accelerated abrasion test can be performed. |
