PURPOSE:To make a complete prevention of generation of black smoke in discharged gas by a method wherein a concentration of CO in the discharged gas is monitored and if the concentration is higher than the desired value, the operation is interrupted for a control over the most suitable efficiency of combustion and a volume of combus tion air is increased by the desired amount. CONSTITUTION:When a measured value of CO is higher than a predetermined value, a measured concentration of CO contained in the discharged gas and a predetermined value of concentration of CO are compared under a desired period, and if the measured value is higher than the predetermined value, a combustion air adjusting valve is further opened by a desired degree and a flow rate of combustion air is controlled in order to get the most suitable efficiency of combustion by a controller 9 under this condition. When a next timing is required, a measured concentration of CO and the predetermined value of concentration of CO are compared to each other and a similar control is performed. In turn, if the measured value of concentration of CO is lower than the predetermined value of concentration of CO, an interruption control is not carried out and only the most suitable control for a combustion efficiency under the controller 9 is performed. With this arrangement, it is made possible to prevent a generation of black smoke in the discharged gas. |
