PURPOSE:To obtain a separating agent with limited aging in the holding time thereof during which an active group particularly for optical division of a racemic compound will be separate, by bonding optically active D or L amino acid copper salt to a matter obtained by reacting a specified silane treatment agent with a silica gel. CONSTITUTION:A separating agent as given by the formula (one or two of Y<1>, Y<2> and Y<3> are silica gel and a bond part between silica gel and siloxane, remaining one or two are CH3 and any further remaining one is halogen, OH or 1-6C alkyl and X is copper salt of optically active amino acid) is used for a filler of a liquid chromatograph as such especially for optical division of a racemic compound. The separating agent is produced by bonding a D or L amino acid copper salt to that obtained by reaction of a silane compound having glycidoxypropyl group and CH3 group with a dry silica gel. Thus, a separating agent especially used for a racemic compound can be obtained with a high separation coefficient along with a longer life. |
