PURPOSE:To stabilize quality by forming a filter layer for cutting infrared rays onto protective glass protecting the surface of a color solid-state image pickup element through evaporation or sputtering. CONSTITUTION:A protection filter 5 in which are infrared-cutting filter layer is evaporated or sputtered onto protective glass is mounted onto the surface of a color solid-state image pickup element 1, and a quartz savart board 4 is fitted in order to prevent optical interference. Accordingly, the number of parts is decreased, dispersion among parts is eliminated, and quality can be stabilized. |
