<p>PURPOSE:To make a program search without adding a program search signal head specially by superposing and recording a program search signal at recording start overlap parts of video tracks on a tape format with both heads. CONSTITUTION:Overlap parts 5 and 6 of + or -5 deg. are provided at both side parts of video tracks 2 on a tape, and the program search signal 7 is recorded continuously on the recording start part 5. When five-fold speed search is made, the program search signals is recorded continuously in five fields of the overlap part 5 of video tracks 2 and then when synchronization with a CTL signal 4 is performed, either of A and B heads picks up a signal at one place where the program search signal 7 is recorded. When a (2n+1)-fold speed search is made, the program search signal is recorded in (2n+1) fields and then a program search is possible. Consequently, the program search signal is recorded and reproduced with conventional rotary heads, so a head dedicated to program searching is not necessary and a VTR device is reduced in sized.</p> |
