PURPOSE:To dispense with a motor for driving the main body of a heat exchanger by providing a pair of driving rotary bodies having different diameters in two flow passages so that the former strides over the latter, and suspending an endless belt having a thermoelastic type martensite transformation between both the rotary bodies. CONSTITUTION:Rotary heat exchange bodies 14 are provided in two flow passage 12 and 13 through which two fluids A1 and A2 having different temperatures flow, so that the rotary heat exchange bodies 14 can rotate by alternatively crossing over the flow passages. Driving rotary bodies such as a pair of gears 16a and 16b which transmit a rotational force to the rotary type heat exchangers 14 by a suitable transfer mechanism including a driven gear 17 provided with an air hole 17, are provided so that they stride over the flow passages 12 and 13, respectively. An endless belt 15 made of an alloy having a thermoelastic type martensite transmission is suspended from these driving rotary bodies, and the diameters of a pair of driving rotary members are set to different values. A part of the endless belt 15 which has received a cold air flow A1 is elongated, whereas another part thereof which has received a hot air flow contracts, and a torque difference is produced in two drive gears 16a and 16b having different diameters, thus rotating in the clockwise direction and the rotary type heat exchanger 14 being rotated through the driven gear 17. |
