PURPOSE:To increase a refilling speed and to suppress the back-flow of ink in a nozzle, by providing a second drive means in addition to the main emitting drive means of the nozzle at a position close to an ink supply side and simultaneously driving both first and second drive means at the time of emission driving. CONSTITUTION:A second piezoelectric element 20 is provided behind the first piezoelectric element 4 around a nozzle 1 and a current is simultaneously supplied to the piezoelectric elements 4, 20. The movement of the ink in the nozzle 1 to the reverse direction is prevented by the pressure waves from the piezoelectric element 20 and the ink is smoothly refilled after emission and the generation of secondary reflected waves is also reduced and a response speed is high. |
