PURPOSE:To prevent the troublesomeness in divided proof works, by performing the forcible new line of the final new line address appearing in one page of the output paper of a proof printer with respect to the character data outputted to the sensitive material of a photocomposing machine and outputting the character data up to this time. CONSTITUTION:When a reading control part 48 is selected by the selection signal of a selector circuit 46, an address counter 42 starts stepping from the start address (i) of a start address register 41. The reading control part 48 reads the character data stored in a page memory 233 according to the address of the address counter 42 to output the same to a printing part 235 which, in turn, successively performs printing according to the outputted character data. When the address counter 42 reaches an address (j), said address (j) coincides with the end address (j) of an end address register 44 and, therefore, a coincidence circuit 45 outputs a coincidence signal to the selector circuit 46 which is turn outputs a reading operation stopping order to the reading control part 48. By this method, character data up to a new line mark 54 is outputted to first output paper 32. |
