MANUFACTURE OF ANISOTROPIC-CONDUCTIVE SHEET

PURPOSE:To obtain an anisotropic-conductive sheet which is superior in its quality by preventing pilling of a conductive fiber, by a method wherein PTFE is fibrillated by agitating the same under existence of a processing aid and keeping the agitation on further by adding the conductive fiber. CONSTITUTION:Appropriate quantities each of PTFE and a processing aid are compounded and agitated forcibly. As for the PTFE, fibrillation is progressed without fusing the PTFE and it is turned into a suspension state before long. The PTFE and conductive fibers can be mixed uniformly with each other as the foregoing fibrillated PTFE particles become intrusive into among the conductive fibers, by a method wherein forced agitation is continued by loading the conductive fiber into this suspension. Liquid content is removed through filteration, a platelike article is molded through compression and the excess processing aid is removed through the compression. The platelike article is oriented unidirectionally through a roll and the fibrillated PTFE and conductive fiber are made to compound. Then a stucked article of rolled materials is calcined and this calcined article is sliced along the surface meeting about vertically with the foregoing direction.
