Three-dimensional framework system comprising profiled steel bars

The subject of the invention is a junction connection for profiled steel bars, with the aid of which three-dimensional frameworks can be designed by the tetrahedron/half octahedron construction method. All commercially available steel profiles can be used as bars for the three-dimensional frameworks, but these are usually round tubes. On both ends of the bars there are attached head pieces which are designed such that up to twelve bars can run into one junction and can be connected by commercially available screws. In the case of the diagonal bars, said head piece comprises a "tongue" (3) which is cut from flat iron, is provided with a bore and is welded to the steel profile. For the flange bars, angle profiles (9) containing 4 bores (11) are additionally welded with the tongues. These bars are then assembled such that they can be directly screwed together without a further junction piece. The force transfer in the junction connection has proved so favourable that considerably greater spans and higher loadings can be achieved in comparison with existing systems. <IMAGE>
