<p>A pearlescent liq. suspension (I) includes 1-40 wt.% essential ingredients: a cationic surface active agent A; a higher alcohol, B; and an alpha-mono(methyl-branched alkyl) glyceryl ether, C. Mixing ratios of A, B and C lie within the area defined by joining a, b and c on the ternary diagram. a (A = 40.0, B = 58.0, C = 2.0) b (A = 4.0, B = 16.0, C = 80.0) c (A = 0.2, B = 99.7, C = 0.1). Opt. the compsn. also includes 0.1 to 5 wt.% D, a water soluble polymer cpd. - Pref. A is of formula (I). One or two R are independently (un)branched 8-22C (hydroxy)alkyl gps. Remaining R's are independently 1-3C (hydroxy)alkyl; benzyl; or polyoxyethylene (total moles added, 10 max.) gps. X = halogen or 1-2C alkyl sulphate. B = 12-26C (un)branched alk(en)yl gp. C = R5-OCH2CH(OH)CH2OH. R5 = 12-24C Me-branched satd. hydrocarbon gp. partic. CH3-(CH2)m-CH(CH3)-(CH2)n-. m = 2-14; n = 3-11; m+n = 9-21.</p> |
