<p>The shut-off valve has a plunger piston (7). This plunger piston (7) is supported in two sealing rings (9 and 10), a spacer (12), which interacts with a further sealing ring (13), being provided above the upper sealing ring (9). When the shut-off valve is closed, the further sealing ring (13) provides an external seal. The compression force which is produced by rotation of the screw connection (2) when retightening the sealing rings (9, 10, 13), is greater in the case of the further sealing ring (13) than in the case of the other sealing rings (9, 10), since its end faces are smaller. The radial expansion of the further sealing rings (9, 10) on retightening is thus relatively small. <IMAGE></p> |
