<p>An electrical generator system forms part of the ignition circuit for an IC engine, it provides pulses of HV current to the sparking plugs at the correct timing. The generator circuit incorporates a rotor with a permanent magnet (14) and oole pieces moving past fixed pole pieces of an ignition armature (15). - The ignition armature contains an integrated circuit and includes a switching hybrid (22) made of ceramic material fastened to a copper cooling member. The armature is E-shaped with the three limbs extending toward the rotor. The primary and secondary coils (20,17) are wound around the central limb (24), and surrounded by a metal casing (16).</p> |
