<p>The invention provides a multiple coin detecting apparatus for use in coin-operated machines for discriminating between denominations of coins and genuiness of coins. Essentially, the apparatus consists of a coin receiving and guiding free-fall chute (21). An instantaneous analysis is made of the chute by a coil (L51) which surrounds the hollow chute (21) and comprises a primary coil and a secondary coil. The apparatus immediately directs predetermined acceptable coins to an acceptance chute (26), and all other unacceptable coins are directed to the rejection chute (25).</p> |
