The transducer, for detecting a constituent in a sample by changing the conductivity during the catalytic decomposition of hydrogen peroxide, consists of a metal organic or metal inorganic catalyst and a polymer of a ring unsatd. heterocyclic cpd. - Pref. the catalyst contains Gp. VIII member and phthalocyanine or porphyrin moieties. Esp., the transducer comprises polypyrrole tetrachloroferrate, polypyrrole iron tetrasulphotphalo cyanine, polypyrrole tetrachlororuthenate or polythiophenate tetrachloroferrate.
