PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which has a high crystallization velocity, can be molded at a low temp. and gives moldings having excellent surface gloss, by blending a copolyethylene terephthalate with a polyester. CONSTITUTION:A polyester resincompsn. is obtd. by blending 0.5-25pts.wt. copolyethylene terephthalate obtd. by copolymerizing 5-75mol% of an arom. acyloxycarboxylic acid (e.g. p-acetoxybenzoic acid), with 100pts.wt. polyester composed of polyethylene terephthalate or at least 80mol% of ethylene tere phthalate repeating units. The compsn. has a high crystallization velocity and can be molded at a low temp., as compared with a conventional polyester resin compsn. The compsn. gives moldings having excellent surface gloss. |
