An arrangement permitting the pre-assembly of piano wire and tuning peg units, to eliminate much of the manual work at the piano, and simplify the task generally, consists of an aligning plate corresp. to the zone of the piano across which the wires are strung. The wires are looped around holding pegs whilst the tuning pegs are pushed, head end up, into holes in the plate. A carrier is then pressed over the head ends of the pegs and an adhesive strip pref. of vinyl plastisol may be laid across the wires, so that the unit can be lifted and positioned on the piano frame. |
