PURPOSE:To perform proper pressure control all the time as well as to prevent the occurrence of percolation with certainty even if fuel character differs, by detecting fuel pressure in a fuel system, while controlling the fuel pressure in the fuel system according to the detected fuel pressure and fuel temperature at that time. CONSTITUTION:Liquid fuel in a fuel tank 1 is pressurized with a fuel pump 2, while it is regulated to the specified pressure by a regulator 3, and spouted to a suction system 7 from an injection valve 4. And, a fuel reserve chamber 8 is connected to a position between the fuel pump 2 and the regulator 3, and on the basis of fuel information out of the said chamber 8, the fuel pump 2 is driven and controlled by a control unit 10. In this case, a temperature sensor 11 and a pressure sensor 12 both are installed in the fuel reserve chamber 8, and temperature and pressure of the fuel detected by these sensors are inputted into the control unit 10. And, for example, when fuel temperature in a fuel system 6 goes up, insomuch that it comes to critical temperature for the occurrence of percolation, discharge of the fuel pump 6 is increased, making the fuel pressure go up, thus the percolation is prevented from occurring. |
