INSPECTING DEVICE OF CREDIT CARD OR THE LIKE

PURPOSE:To inspect accurately the identity of a genuine owner of a credit card by comparing the sound signal of the input identification information with a selected standard pattern to obtain the resemblance between them. CONSTITUTION:A terminal side contains a card reader 6 for identification information of each card and a voice input device 7 for telephone device, etc. which receives voices and converts them into electric signals. A network control part 1 gives a read signal to a data transmission/reception part 2 and a sound signal to a voice recognizing part 3 respectively. The part 3 obtains the spectrum data on the sound signal applied from the terminal side via the part 1 and compares it with a standard pattern given from a standard pattern memory 4 to obtain the degree of resemblance between the spectrum data and the standard pattern. The signal showing the result of decision for resemblance is applied to a computer 5. The genuine owner of the card supplies in voices the card identification number through an exclusive circuit or a telephone circuit. The memory 4 stores the spectrum data on the sound signal in the form of a standard pattern. The computer 5 transmits the signal to the terminal side via the parts 1 and 2 to inform the result of inspection.
