PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction of a photodetector means due to detection of leaked light by forming a groove to prevent the leaked light from propagating to the photodetector means between a lens means and the photodetector means so as to isolate optically the lens means and the photodetector means. CONSTITUTION:A collimating lens 22 is a lens to convert a laser beam having a spread irradiated from a semiconductor laser 11 into a parallel light. A coupling lens 23 irradiates the laser light propagated through an optical wave guide layer 21 in oblique upward direction and focuses the light two- dimensionally. The leaked light cut-off groove 15 is provided between the coupling lens 23 and the photodetector section 30 and acts like preventing the propagation of light passing through the position of the coupling lens 23 toward the section 30 by means of reflection or attenuation of the light on the groove wall face.
