PURPOSE:To prevent a mirror from being damaged by operating a detent mechanism when a mirror housing is tilted. CONSTITUTION:When a mirror housing 2 is subjected to an external force in the Y direction, it is tilted toward rear side with a rotary shaft 8 as the fulcrum, against the tensile force of a spring 20. In this case, a hinge plate 7 is also rotated with the rotary shaft 8 as the fulcrum, together with the mirror housing 2, and the engagement of its long hole 7E with the engaging pin 18 of a moving side engaging member 14 makes the moving side engaging member 14 rotate with a rotary shaft 17 as the fulcrum. And, since a detent mechanism is provided between the moving side engaging member 14 and a fixed side engaging member 13, the mirror housing 2 rotates intermittently. |
