<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the size and weight of a superconductive coil, by employing a support cylinder of integral structure as an intermediate support cylinder in each of the pair of folded support cylinder groups, and attaching a cooling pipe to only the one of the pair of heat-shielding plates which is provided on the side of the intermediate support cylinder which is remote from the ground. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate support cylinder 20 comprises a cylinder body 20a, a support seat 20b integrally provided at the center of the body 20a, a flange 20c integrally provided at the ground-side end of the body 20a and fitted to an end portion of a support cylinder 7a, and a flange 20e screwed through a threaded part 20d to an end portion of the body 20 on the side thereof which is remote from the ground so as to be fitted to an end portion of the support cylinder 7b. By tightly screwing the flange 20e to the body 20a, the support cylinders 7a, 7b are rigidly camped by the flanges 20c, 20e, and the support seat 20b is clamped by support cylinders 9a, 9b. A cooling pipe 16b is attached to a heat shielding plate 15b alone in two heat shielding plates 15a, 15b respectively attached to the flanges 20c, 20e of the intermediate support cylinder 20.</p> |
