PURPOSE:To prevent the forming of curve, flicker and going out of an arc column due to an acoustic phenomenon generated by specified frequency by providing the acoustic resonance avoiding measures at the light emitted tube inside of a high pressure electric-discharge lamp. CONSTITUTION:An light emitted tube 1, consisted of quartz, etc., having proper amount of enclosed rare gases and light emitted materials; besides, having sealed electrodes 2a, 2b at its both ends, is applied phosphor to its internal surface, and enclosing it into the gas sealed outside tube, and a high pressure electric-discharge lamp is formed. At this time, the light emitted tube 1 is formed so as to provide either soft structure body 10, consisted of quartz wool, etc., at the tube wall inside or plural protrusions of irregular shape at the tube wall inside; therefore, to prevent the acoustic resonance phenomenon, which is generated when the frequency, determined by light emitted tube shape and enclosed materials, is consisted with the pressure changing of the light emitted tube inside due to hourly change of input power, can be performed by simplified method, and the stable burning can be maintained. |
