PURPOSE:To secure such a diaphragm that never produces a crack due to peroxide or ozone, by forming a high polymer thin layer, highly crosslinked by low temperature plasma, on a surface part of a rubber layer, in case of such one forming the rubber layer on both sides of a ground fabric layer CONSTITUTION:In the case where a diaphragm 3' is used after being installed between two cases 4 and 5, the diaphragm 3' comes into contact with gasoline filled up inside a fuel chamber 1 and air in an atmospheric chamber 2 at a high polymer thin layer 10 of an outer layer part. At this time, a high polymer thin layer 3c has its highly crosslinked structure so that it will not receive breakdown reaction of a molecule by peroxide or ozone, thus any crack in a rubber layer 3b is preventable from occurring. Simultaneously, since the high polymer thin layer 3c is rigid enough, the occurrence of rumples due to bending motion of the diaphragm 3' and wear due to contact with other component parts are well reduced. |
