An assembly apparatus is presented for drawing a metallic push-in strip into a rubber profile surrounding the push-in strip in a tightly fitting manner by a profile web on the underside and on either side in each case by a profile lip on the top side, which assembly apparatus contains an expansion station 18, 20, bending up the profile lips up to a mutual distance apart corresponding to the width of the push-in strip, as well as a pressure-roller station 22 which is arranged downstream of the expansion station 18, 20 in the passage direction and has a deflector mechanism 34 keeping the profile lips open and a pressure-roller set 26 to 32 which holds the profile web at its lateral marginal areas in a cross-sectional configuration bent downwards and includes at least one supporting roller 28, supporting the profile web in the centre area on the underside, and a holding-down roller 30 bearing on the web top side with the push-in strip in between, as a result of which problem-free, unconstrained assembly of push-in strip and rubber profile in virtually any length is achieved. <IMAGE> |
