PURPOSE:To control focusing smoothly by inhibiting driving of a photographic lens based on a defocus signal from an operation processing system which is generated when the photographic lens is stopped. CONSTITUTION:A part of the object luminous flux from a photographic lens 1 is led to a finder system by a main mirror 2, and another part is led onto an electric charge storage-type image sensor 4 of an automatic focusing device. The image sensor 4 outputs a storage signal G to a storage time control means 5 and outputs a focus detecting signal A to an operation processing means 6. The operation processing means 6 transmits a defocus signal D to a correcting means 7, and the correcting means 7 transmits a corrected defocus signal D' to a lens driving control means 10. The lens driving control means 10 compares a lens movement extent signal P from a lens movement extent detecting means 9 with the corrected defocus signal D'; and when the stop of the photographic lens 1 is detected, a control signal C is outputted to a reset means 12 to reset the operation result, and the photographic lens 1 is driven by a lens driving means 11. |
