PURPOSE:To obtain the best magnetic tapes for different systems by orienting the audio track part, video track part, and control track part on a magnetic tape differently. CONSTITUTION:When the magnetic layer of the magnetic tape is oriented in a magnetic field, orientation generators 3 and 4 are provided; the audio track 5 is not orientated, and the control track and video track 3 are oriented by being applied with a weak and an intense magnetic field respectively. Thus, the best tape for a linear video system is obtained. On the other hand, when the orientation of the video track is reduced, the best video tape for a helical video system is obtained. Thus, unequal orientation suitable for both systems is attained. |
