PURPOSE:To secure the prevention of the formation of any self-discharge route by impregnating a negative material with an electrolyte in which negative metal ions are dissolved, and impregnating a positive mixture with an electrolyte which doesn't contain the former negative metal ion. CONSTITUTION:An alkaline electrolyte 8 which contains only caustic potash is poured into a positive mixture 5a, which is impregnated with the electrolyte 8. A separator 5b is placed on the positive mixture 5a. After that, a negative material 5c is impregnated with an alkaline electrolyte 8' whic is almost saturated with zinc oxide. The negative material 5c is placed on the former separator 5b, and the whole constitutes a generation element 5, which is assembled into a battery according to a given procedure. Through the means memtioned above, the positive mixture 5a absorbs the electrolyte rapidly, the efficiency of the manufacture is enhanced, and zinc oxide never aggregates over the surface of the separator 5b. Thus, the formation of any self-discharge route can be obviated. |
