Shown are two clutches, E 1 and E 2 , operated by pistons 6 and 11 respectively to compress the discs against the reaction plates 7 and 12 respectively. The reaction plates may have teeth adapted to conform to the splines of the elements, and be spot welded at every second or third tooth, or the plates may not have teeth, but be welded at every second or third spline of the drum shaped element (1 or 2). The splined elements 1 and 2 are of pressed out sheet metal. |
