PURPOSE:To prevent the reentrainment of dust during hammering by collecting hammering sound, and analyzing the sound by an arithmetic unit, and determining the hammering time and the interval of hammering in the intermittent hammering operating method of an electrical dust collector. CONSTITUTION:Hammering sound generated when a dust collecting electrode 2, which is arranged in the casing 1 of an electrical dust collector, is hammered by a hammer 3 operated by a hammering motor 6 is collected by a sound collecting microphone 4. Since the frequency of the hammering sound changes in correspondence with the amt. of deposited dust, the frequency is analyzed by an arithmetic unit 5, and the amt. of deposited dust is calculated. The time necessary for the amt. of deposited dust to reach the previously inputted set value X0 of the amt. of deposited dust is calculated. After the calculated time elapses, the hammering motor is automatically operated. Waste gas flows in the direction as shown by the arrow and dust is discharged from a rotary valve 7. |
